So Last weekend I decided to invest in some of OPI's Shatter Nail Polish. It must be said, for those of you are nail polish junkies like me. We often well....get bored. So I absolutely loved the variety that this adds to my collection. The only thing is it looks the best over brighter colors, like pastels and metallics. and the majority of my nail polish collection consists of "Darker colors".
I ended up experimenting with multiple color combos.
At first, I applied two coats of whatever color I was using, in this case it was Green With Envy by Sally Hansen.
And then to encourage the polish to dry faster I used Sally Hansens Insta Dry top coat which sped the process up a ton. You need to have the base polish FULLY dry before you apply the shatter polish.
And then once the topcoat dries you can apply the shatter polish. Followed by one more round of a top coat.
Here's how mine turned out as well as my sisters.
